Full course description

Course meets Wednesday evenings beginning October 29 and ending December 17 (8 weeks total). 

Meeting times are 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Sleep inhabits one third of our life. Sleep is not a passive behavior. On the contrary, it is quite active. This course focuses on sleep as a part of the daily sleep/wake cycle. This course examines the history of sleep and sleep research, developmental aspects of sleep, physiological bases of sleep, the functions of sleep, the effects of various drugs on sleep, sleep disorders, and dreaming.

After completing the registration process on this site, you will also need to submit a Non-Degree-Seeking Application. This additional step allows us to create your student ID and provide you with access to campus resources.

When completing the application:

1.     Select “Audit for Enrichment.”

2.     When prompted with additional questions, select “Undergraduate Course.”

3.     Enter “October 2026” as your start date.
