This course introduces students to the knowledge and applied skills required of entry-level behavior technicians. The course covers foundational principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), participation in assessment procedures, evidence-based teaching strategies, behavior-reduction approaches, ethics and professional conduct, documentation practices, and essential technician-level competencies.
Completion of the course provides the 40 hours of required instruction and prepares students to be eligible to sit for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam, provided they also complete the required skills competency assessment with an approved employer or supervisor.
In order to work as a Registered Behavioral Technician, students must sit for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam, and secure licensure to practice as an RBT. This program prepares students to sit for the national exam, which is applicable for licensure in any state. By registering for this course, you are acknowledging reciept of this information.
